(KNSI) – Valleyfair will start up its thrilling combination of roller coasters, restaurants, and entertainment options this weekend.

Season pass holders get the first look at new features with an exclusive preview day Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Opening Day for the public is slated for Sunday.

Valleyfair has 75 attractions, ranging from a water park to the towering 200-foot-plus ride Wild Thing. Corkscrew, slither along on Steel Venom, or skitter on the Mad Mouse while pausing to try out four new food options.

Valleyfair will once again operate under an enforced chaperone policy. All guests 14 or younger must be accompanied by someone at least 21 years old, or they will be asked to leave at 4:00 p.m. each day.

Valleyfair is located in Shakopee and is one of the largest amusement parks in the upper Midwest. Started in the 1970s, roughly 90 acres are currently developed, with the opportunity to add another 35 acres of attractions in the future. The park has 70 year-round employees, and another 1,600 are hired during the summer season.

Tickets start at $39.99 per day.
