(KNSI) – Another chicken chain restaurant is looking for a place to roost in St. Cloud.
Dave’s Hot Chicken has just two locations open in the Twin Cities now, but franchise co-owner Alex Humphries tells KNSI News people have been flocking to the two locations in Minnetonka and St. Paul, so he’ll open two more in Apple Valley and Coon Rapids.
Humphries hatched a plan to open 16 more resturants over the next few years in Minnesota. “It’ll be something that’ll be a nice change of pace from your standard chicken restaurants out there, and we’re very excited to be a part of the St. Cloud community.”
The restaurant won’t open for a little while yet while he hunts for the right spot.
Humphries was part owner of the Five Guys restaurant in St. Cloud but sold his interest in April so he could concentrate on the new venture. According to their Website, as of April 2024, there are 199 Dave’s Hot Chicken locations nationwide.
