(KNSI) – Outdoor seating is returning to restaurants and bars in downtown St. Cloud.
Crews will be putting up temporary barriers on 5th Avenue South between West St. Germain Street and 1st Street South on Wednesday morning. The block in the heart of the busy commercial district is scheduled to be closed from 6:00 a.m. to noon.
The seating is taken down in the fall after the leaves fall and the mercury drops. Outdoor spaces were first installed during the COVID-19 pandemic to help restaurants and bars increase the space they had to serve patrons and provide an economic boost during a tough period.
Outdoor seating is also put into place along West St. Germain Street.
