33rd Street South Affected By Utility Repair

(KNSI) – An emergency water main situation will tangle up traffic in south St. Cloud off and on until the end of May.

Westbound 33rd Street South is reduced to just the left lane on Monday and Tuesday. Repairs will begin on Wednesday, which will shut down the road between Southway Drive and 15th Avenue South.

The road should be temporarily available by the end of the week, but a permanent fix will not be in place until late next month. Dates are tentative and could change, given the soggy forecast for the next several days.

Staff at the City of St. Cloud say they will have detours posted, and they intend to ensure access to nearby businesses. Southway Bowl, Southside Pharmacy, and Warnert Racing are all located along the affected block.
