Reconstruction of Highway 24 in Clearwater to be Discussed at Public Meetings Next Month

(KNSI) – The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is holding two meetings on a proposed project to reconstruct Highway 24 over Interstate 94.

Construction would begin in 2026, and the work zone will be located between 179th Street and Ash Street. MnDOT staff are also evaluating the entire corridor between Wright County Road 7 and the Mississippi River bridge for future projects.

Both meetings will be held in Clearwater on Thursday, May 9th, at the Lions Park Pavilion (1100 County Road 75). The first meeting, specifically for businesses, will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. A meeting for the general public will follow from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Both meetings will be held in an open house format, with no formal presentation.
