First Lady Visiting Minnesota

(KNSI) – The first lady will speak Friday at the Education Minnesota Convention, highlighting a brief trip to the state.

Jill Biden is a teacher at a community college near Washington, D.C., in addition to be the wife of President Joe Biden. She holds a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Delaware.

According to her biography on the White House website, Biden’s career as a teacher dates back to 1976, when she taught high school English. She lectures in college composition now. Biden is the only first lady to hold a full-time job while in the White House.

Biden has another speaking engagement in Colorado Friday night. Her last time in the state was for the Twin Cities Pride Festival last June.
