(KNSI) — St. Cloud area Representative Dan Wolgamott is being recognized as the “Friend of the Year” by the Minnesota Association for Family and Early Education for his contributions to Early Childhood Family Education.
The group says his authoring of legislation passed last year funded support staff at the Minnesota Department of Education and is responsible for assisting ECFE programs in school districts across the state. The programs are designed for children from birth to kindergarten, their parents, and expectant parents and promote child development and learning through parent education initiatives.
In a press release, Wolgamott said, “As a father, I understand firsthand the critical role early childhood education plays. I’m honored to receive this award, which reflects our collective efforts to empower parents and families so their children have the best possible start.”
