(KNSI) — Hey now. Hey now! Crowded House is headed for The Ledge Amphitheater in Waite Park in September.

The group formed after Split Enz ended with a bang in 1984. Paul Hester and Neil Finn decided to start a new band, Crowded House, alluding to all the people living in the home they shared in Los Angeles.

Crowded House is bringing its Gravity Stairs tour to The Ledge on September 14th. Tickets go on a venue presale on Thursday, April 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. with the code LEDGEHOUSE. The general onsale is Friday, April 19th at 10:00 a.m. All tickets can be bought through Ticketmaster or The Ledge winter box office housed in the Waite Park public works building on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A special pre-show playlist has been curated for your listening pleasure here.

They amassed major success in their native countries of Australia and New Zealand, but it wasn’t until their 1986 self-titled debut album was released that they burst onto the scene in the United States. They landed hits “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “Something So Strong”. “Fall at Your Feet”, “Weather with You”, “Distant Sun”, “Locked Out”, “Instinct”, and “Not the Girl You Think You Are” followed.

The group went their separate ways in 1996, and Hester died in 2005, but the group reformed later and released two more albums before going on another hiatus. They reunited again in 2020 and released another album in 2021.
