St. Joseph Planning Power Wheel Derby

(KNSI) – The checkered flag will fly in St. Joseph this June.

A speedway will be built in the parking lot across from Bello Cucina on the 9th to host children ages two through six. They’ll put the pedal to the Power Wheel metal starting at noon.

Each vehicle can only be powered by a nonmodified 12-volt battery, and drivers must have a bike helmet and shoes on. Open-toed sandals or flip-flops will result in a disqualification.

One parent is allowed to accompany their child into the pit area for trial runs a half hour before the race. Check-in is at 11:00. The number of participants will determine how many heats there are.
