(KNSI) – A St. Cloud area business is one of five finalists in this year’s FastLane94 Trailblazer Challenge, ready to make its pitch for $5,000 during a public Shark Tank-style event on April 11th.

The competition is put on by the Greater St. Cloud Development Corporation, along with economic development organizations in Brainerd, Fergus Falls, and Moorhead. It’s open to new companies throughout west-central Minnesota.

Adapdom in Sauk Rapids has a product that helps alleviate pain from chronic conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, or other hand and wrist issues. The unique compression support glove provides support to your fingers, hand, and wrist while doing daily tasks.

Other finalists include Better Greens of Buffalo, “dedicated to cultivating and creating access to a diverse range of ethnic African vegetables, ensuring their availability to African immigrant communities while providing comprehensive support and resources to empower African immigrant farmers in Minnesota for successful agricultural endeavors.”

FamliCare “eases stress for exhausted dementia caregivers by providing an all-in-one app to help organize with precision, collaborate with purpose, and illuminate inevitable challenges on the path ahead as they move through each phase of their loved one’s
care journey.”

Grandpa Jimmy’s Ice Hole Trap makes “a foot-controlled “landing net for ice fishing” that places a solid barrier at the bottom of an ice fishing hole, preventing fish from getting away at that last critical moment and making it easy to lift fish to the surface.” Both are located in Alexandria.

ModernKind of Zimmerman “solves the problem of excess plastic waste and travel shampoo bottles that leak in your luggage with a high-quality shampoo powder in a convenient and refillable aluminum bottle.”

The winner also receives a semifinalist berth in the MN Cup, hosted by the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business. Organizers are looking for a nice public turnout next Thursday for the finals, which are being hosted by ILT Studios inside the Davidson Opera House downtown St. Cloud.
