(KNSI) — St. Cloud State University has received a new grant from the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership fund.
The $205,000 is from the Department of Employment and Economic Development in partnership with Central McGowan.
The grant aims to teach team leaders transferable skills, develop a stronger workforce with enhanced industry-specific skills, and increase capacity to create new programs for other businesses.
Central McGowan specializes in welding equipment and supplies, gases and automation.
SCSU’s Professional and Continuing Education department collaborates with businesses to offer professional development through customized training and host conferences and events. PACE has partnered with over 20 companies on grants totaling over $4.7 million, serving more than 6,000 employees with professional and continuing education customized to their industry.
