(KNSI) – Spring cleaning is big business for one local service organization.
The Sartell Lions Club has been doing the fundraiser for over 20 years now. This year’s edition is set for Saturday, April 20th, at Riverview Intermediate School from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Member Cody Hauser lists some of the items they are looking for.
“We take office [and] business furniture, refrigerated, non-refrigerated appliances, couches, stuffed chairs, mattresses, light bulbs, car batteries. Things like that.”
A list of potentially popular donations that the group won’t take includes broken cathode ray tube televisions, chemicals, oils, paints, or solvents. The group also cannot take yard or compost waste.
Hauser notes the group will even come to your place if you need help offloading some of your stuff. “We will pick up. We have trailers. We have about three guys lined up there, and we will also accept trailer loads of items if people want to drop those off themselves.”
To make an appointment for pickup, Hauser says to call him at 320-828-6620 before April 18th.
If you are interested in joining any of the three local Lions Club chapters, information will be available at the event. In addition to the popular inclusive playground project, the Sartell Lions are active in the community with a bike rodeo and other activities.
