(KNSI) – A battered women’s shelter in St. Cloud is making plans to help more survivors of domestic violence find a new life.

Anna Marie’s Alliance has been raising funds through its Coming Home Capital Campaign to convert its 36-bed facility from dormitory-style to apartments. Plans also call to add common spaces and one- or two-bedroom units.

The ceremony is a chance for the community, supporters, and stakeholders to come together and commemorate the transformative project. Attendees will have the chance to hear from key figures involved in the campaign and learn more about the impact the renovations will have.

The ceremony will take place on April 11th.

Anna Marie’s Alliance works to provide individuals and families who are experiencing relationship abuse a safe place to stay and the resources they need. Their mission is to provide education, intervention, and advocacy to victims through a holistic approach.
