(KNSI) — The Stearns County Parks Department says yes, the area is finally getting snow, but grooming operations will not resume.

An email to KNSI says crews went out to set a track Monday morning at Quarry Park, but by 10:30, it was already filled in. The wet, sticky snow is making for poor conditions. No other grooming operations will be attempted for Monday.

Tuesday is a different story.

The storm system that dropped more than 7″ of snow on the St. Cloud area is expected to move out by Tuesday morning, so crews may be able to get out and lay a track. That will be good news Wednesday, the area is looking at sunshine and a high in the mid-20s. Thursday, it should be sunny with a high in the mid-30s before another chance for a sloppy rain/snow mix moves in for the weekend.
