(KNSI) – Master beer makers across the great state of Minnesota gathered to judge the best glasses of suds.

The results of the Minnesota Brewers Cup have been announced. The annual blind taste-test competition saw more than 90 breweries submit 450 entries. Pale ales to hearty ambers were judged in 23 categories using quality and adherence to Beer Judge Certification Program style standards. The top three beers in each category were given awards.

Two central Minnesota producers walked away with three honors in all.

Lupulin Brewing Company in Big Lake took second place in the Spice, Herb and Vegetable Beers category with its Doppelbock. Third Street Brewhouse took first place in the Fruit and Spice Beers category with the Minnesota Micro Peach and second place in the American Lagers for their Minnesota Gold Light Lager.
