(KNSI) – What started as a call about a person walking with a shotgun in rural Stearns County ended unusually Tuesday afternoon.
A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on a township road. The caller described them as an “elderly male carrying a shotgun” and said when they drove by, the person tried to hide it.
The deputy found the man fitting the witness’s description walking along the road. When questioned, he told the deputy he was just out for a walk, listening to music while using his walking stick. When the deputy confronted the man about trying to hide a shotgun, he came clean.
The gentleman said he was using his stick to play air guitar and saw someone drive by. He explained he was embarrassed, so he tried to quickly put his stick away.
What he was jamming to was not disclosed.
Rock on sir.
