(KNSI) – Three candidates to be the head of the Sartell-St. Stephen School District will be interviewed this week.

The semi-finalists for the District 748 superintendent post will meet face-to-face with the school board on Wednesday and Thursday. Timothy Rohweder, High School Principal with Proctor Public Schools, will appear before the board on March 6th at 5:30 p.m. Then, at 6:45 p.m., Pequot Lakes Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kurt Stumpf will be interviewed.

On Thursday at 5:30 p.m., St. Cloud Area School District Assistant Superintendent Dr. Michael Rivard will have his turn to meet with board members. They will then deliberate on who advances to a second round of interviews tentatively set for March 11th.

The interviews will be at Sartell High School inside Watab 101 and Watab 102. They are open to the public but will not be recorded or livestreamed.

Originally, the district planned to interview four candidates, but International Falls Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Grover accepted a job with the East Grand Forks School District last week.

The board is asking for public input and feedback. Anyone interested in helping can fill out the form by clicking here.

The position became open following Dr. Jeff Ridlehoover’s departure to become Superintendent at Rockford Schools. Interim Superintendent Tom Lee came out of retirement to help out and has been with the Sartell St. Stephen School District since June of 2023.
