(KNSI) — CentraCare and the University of Minnesota are holding a free workshop for students to help prepare applications to medical school.
It is specially designed for rural students applying to med school or who plan to apply within the next two years. It will go through the ins and outs of the application process with help from CentraCare and U of M med school experts. They can get their questions answered, get feedback and practice their interview skills.
The workshop is April 13th at CentraCare South Point St. Cloud from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
A $50 million fundraising campaign is underway. It has been the dream of CentraCare CEO Dr. Ken Holman, who, when he was hired in 2015, listed a medical school in central Minnesota as one of his goals.
The campus is set to open in 2025.
