Luxury Car Dealership Set to Grace Central Minnesota

(KNSI) – A new luxury car lot is coming to central Minnesota.

Waite Park approved a Genesis dealership on 2nd Street South near 10th Avenue South. The brand is owned by Hyundai and is considered their top-of-the-line fleet. The 4,400-square-foot building will be constructed on part of the existing parking lot. Planning and Community Development Director Jon Noerenberg says it’s part of a remodel and expansion already underway. “We expect we’ll be getting probably a building permit package here before too long. I think they want to get going in a timely manner. St. Cloud Hyundai actually has renovations underway and updates right now. This is following suit.”

The dealership will be encased in glass and have a modern look. The Genesis store is expected to open late in 2024. Noerenberg believes the dealership will be a nice addition. “It’s a very good fit for that particular area. I think it’ll work well. I think it really brings a nice sense of design and brings a little bit of showmanship to the area. And I think it’ll correlate nicely.”

This will be the second Genesis Dealership in Minnesota. The other is in Minneapolis. There are 240 across the nation in 39 states.
