(KNSI) – The largest agricultural expo in years is rolling into the River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The 57th annual Central Minnesota Farm Show has sold out its booth space for the first time since the pandemic. St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce Marketing Director Emily Bertram has more than 250 farming businesses and organizations coming. “We have exhibitors coming in from all over the state of Minnesota or flying in from other states bringing in their equipment. So we’re super excited.”

The event offers a glimpse into the latest and greatest tools and technology in the ag sector. “There’s all kinds of really great equipment that you can check out. So it takes up a lot of space. And a huge variety,” said Bertram.

She emphasized that advances over the last 20 years have opened the industry to a wide range of skills. “Just because you want to work in the ag industry doesn’t mean you’re going to be a farmer. You could be super into technology. You could be into the manufacturing and machining, that kind of thing. There’s a whole wide variety of opportunities when it comes to being employed in the ag industry.”

The show is for seasoned farmers, hobby farmers, or those just curious about farming. Last year, the event offered information on running a hemp-growing operation.

The conference offers free milk and cookies and daily keynote speakers on the hour.
