(KNSI) – A former St. Cloud Tech standout is invited to the National Football League combine.
The 6’7″ Brevyn Spann-Ford is a force in the run game as a blocker and snagged 95 catches in his collegiate career at the University of Minnesota as a tight end for the Gophers. His longest was a 48-yard grab in 2021.
Spann-Ford was invited to the Senior Bowl, typically a showcase for some of the best prospects in the game as they make the case to be drafted by a professional team. He caught a touchdown pass in the contest, twisting to get to a ball thrown behind him from Oregon quarterback Bo Nix.
Spann-Ford was a wide receiver in high school, and he could present a threat in the downfield passing game while possessing size and skill as a red zone target.
The scouting combine runs from Monday, February 26th, to Monday, March 4th, in Indianapolis. The NFL Draft is being held in Detroit this April.
