Love Rocks at Jules’ Bistro’s Romantic Valentine’s Rendezvous in Sauk Rapids

(KNSI) – Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, and time is running out to make plans.

Jules’ Bistro hosts Love Rocks, a romantic rendezvous with your significant other at The Clearing in Sauk Rapids. There’s room for 40 couples to be delighted with a three course dinner, plus dessert and music. “We love Valentine’s dates. So we want to share the love, spread the love, celebrate the love as much as possible,” said Jules’ Bistro owner Donella Westphal, “We sold out the event last year, so we’re expecting to do the same this year.”

The first course is champagne with charcuterie and cheese. The second course is a winter citrus salad with arugula, grapefruit, mandarin orange, Marcona almonds, vetta, and a yuzu vinaigrette that will be served with some housemaids, pakasha, and dipping oils. In the third course, you can choose between maple ginger salmon over bok choy and stir-fried rice, chicken thighs with glazed root vegetables or a vegetarian option. The dessert plate is white and dark chocolate covered strawberries, a macaron, a mini chocolate cheesecake, and a cream puff.

This year’s guests will be serenaded by the sweet sounds of Paul “Stretch” Diethelm. Westphal told KNSI News it is rare to see him in a solo acoustic performance. “This will be his first one in quite a while. So it’s a really cool opportunity to see this amazingly talented musician that plays with groups like the Fabulous Armadillos, in this intimate setting.”

She says Diethelm is a well-rounded entertainer who will also bring a little humor to his act.

The event partners with five local businesses to give away over $3,000 worth of prizes.

Tickets are $100 per person, or $200 per couple.
