(KNSI) — Record warmth is possible this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasted highs are in the upper 40s on Tuesday and the low 50s on Wednesday and Thursday.

The record for February 6th is 50, and for the 7th, it’s 52, both of which were set in 1987. The record for the 8th is 55, which was set in 1991.

A storm system is set to arrive after that, bringing temps down into the 30s.

We’ll still be socked in the clouds, however. The warm temps are causing more moisture to hang out, which can lead to foggy mornings and widespread cloud cover.

January 31st also saw record warm temps as the St. Cloud Regional Airport reading hit 55 degrees at 2:53 p.m. that day, beating the old high of 46 set in 1993.
