(KNSI) – A Waite Park man is back in jail after violating his bail terms while awaiting trial for allegedly selling a woman deadly pills laced with fentanyl.
Investigators say Jibril Mohamed Ibrahim met the woman near her home in St. Joseph on October 23rd, 2022. The next day, she was found dead. An autopsy revealed she died of acute fentanyl intoxication.
Police began investigating and learned through the victim’s social media accounts that Ibrahim had sold her the pills. Officers found messages establishing how many pills the victim wanted and where they would meet. His last message to the victim was, “Enjoy hun.” The woman was found dead about six hours later.
Ibrahim was arrested and charged with 3rd-degree murder- selling/giving/distributing controlled substances in October of 2023. He posted a $10,000 bail on Halloween. In January, a warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to comply with the terms of his release, including mandatory drug testing.
He was arrested again late last week. His next hearing is set for March 13th.
