(KNSI) — Three local organizations are benefitting from the latest Central Minnesota Community Foundation’s Special Needs Fund grant round.
The fund helps support proramming serving people with complex intellectual and physical disabilities.
ConnectAbility of MN received $5,000 for its Bridging the Gaps through Adaptive Equipment Connection and Donated Equipment programs. ConnectAbility of MN specializes in providing transportation, making homes accessible, providing access to assistive technology, and more so that those with disabilities can live without limitations.
Options Inc. received $5,000 for its ‘Enhancing Learning and Enrichment Experiences through Technology’ program. Options, Inc. teaches self-advocacy skills and provides a variety of day and employment services to over 240 people throughout Sherburne and Northern Wright counties.
WACOSA received $5,000 for its WACOSA Lifts for the South program. WACOSA is for adults with disabilities and helps them build a circle of support to empower them to develop skills, explore and pursue employment, and foster community connections from graduation through retirement.
