Dense Fog, Freezing Fog, Slick Roads Thursday Morning

(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory for the KNSI listening area.

The advisory goes until noon on Thursday, January 25th.

Visibilities are less than a quarter mile. Low visibility coupled with areas of freezing fog is also making driving hazardous as temps near freezing are creating slick spots. Watch out for icy patches, especially on bridge decks, and ramps.

Areas of patchy freezing drizzle have also been reported.

The Minnesota State Patrol says to slow down, buckle up, use the low beams and allow plenty of time to get where you’re going this morning. Also, allow plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you and plenty of stopping distance to avoid going through intersections or rear-ending others.
