(KNSI) — State Fair lovers and their families will soon no longer be able to leave their mark on the colorful benches and tables dotting the grounds.

The Minnesota State Fair Foundation cited a lack of capacity for the space to store them and the logistics of putting them into storage and bringing them back out as reasons. For those who still want to have a table or bench placed this year, they still can, but it’s on a first come, first served basis and there are a limited amount.

The Foundation says, “We are almost certain to reach our limit before our typical deadline later this spring, so we encourage you to place your order as soon as possible. Visit either page to learn more about the end of these programs.” No more orders will be accepted once donations are received for the remaining benches or tables.

Benches are a $2,500 contribution, and the donor gets an eight foot bench in one of four colors, depending on where it is placed. There is also a 7″ by 8″ plaque on the back for no extra charge.

For $5,000, one gets a recognition table in one of three colors and a 7″ by 8″ plaque at no extra charge.

Recognition bricks were made available once upon a time, but the plazas filled up in 2022.
