(KNSI) — Martin Luther King, Jr., Day will mean several changes compared to a normal weekday.

All government buildings at the municipal, state, and county levels are closed for the holiday, plus federal buildings. Courthouses will also be shuttered for the day.

The post office and most UPS services will not be available on Monday, reopening as normal on Tuesday. That includes UPS Store locations. Other private businesses that will be observing the holiday include most financial institutions, and there is no trading on Wall Street today.

Few restaurants and grocery stores are affected, outside of locations that are normally closed on a Monday, like several sites in downtown St. Cloud. Parking will be free downtown for the day if you are headed to the area.

Monday is also the first of four Free Park Days held by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. All 75 state parks, including Lake Maria near Monticello, Charles Lindbergh near Little Falls, and Kathio near Mille Lacs, will waive admission fees. Renting equipment and other charges still apply.
