(KNSI) — The National Weather Service has issued a windchill advisory for much of Minnesota, including the KNSI listening area.
Forecasters say some of the coldest air of the season has settled over the region, and “Dangerous wind chills are expected to last through Tuesday morning, with widespread values of 25 to 35 degrees below zero.” They say to limit time outside, and if you are venturing outdoors, dress in layers and make sure all exposed skin is covered, as frostbite can set in in as little as ten minutes.
The windchill advisory goes through at least noon on Tuesday, January 16th.
