Stearns Nordic Ski Sampler Offers Winter Wonderland Exploration

(KNSI) — Now that there’s snow to play in, the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota and the Stearns County Parks Department are bringing back the Stearns Nordic Ski Sampler.

The parks are:

Quarry Park

Warner Lake

Clearwater, MN 55320

Mississippi River

Rice, MN 56367

Kraemer Lake-Wildwood
12857 Co Rd 51
St Joseph, MN 56374

Ski and sample the parks from January 15th through February 15th.

For each park skied, names can be registered for a prize drawing. Ski all four parks and get a bonus entry. Anyone who joins the Nordic Ski Club of Central Minnesota will receive another bonus entry. To register for the drawing, go to the Stearns County Parks’ Online Recreation Catalog, log in or create an account, and choose your park from the park events tab in the catalog.

Prizes include a Quarry Park annual parking pass, gift cards to Revolution Cycle & Ski or Fitzharris Ski & Sport and Wildwood Ranch maple syrup. Winners will be announced on February 20th.

The sampler is open to all ages and abilities. If someone can’t ski, hike, or snowshoe on the multi-use trails, they will still be allowed to enter. Contact Fitzharris Ski & Sport at 320-251-2844 or Revolution Cycle & Ski at 320-251-2453 if equipment rental is needed.
