(KNSI) – The parent company of KNSI has a new name.
The station’s engaging talk shows and award-winning journalism remain the same, but we now operate as part of Leighton Media rather than Leighton Broadcasting. The company dates back over 60 years, starting with KDLM-AM in Detroit Lakes. Al Leighton turned the company over to his son, Bob, in 2007. There have been several changes since.
On top of radio, the business now has divisions dedicated to digital, events, and promotions, plus a growing online presence. Chief Operating Officer Stephanie Theisen says the new name better reflects everything Leighton Media is involved in.
“Leighton is a company whose roots are in broadcasting – under the leadership of second-generation CEO, Bob Leighton, our company has diversified to include digital, events and promotional products divisions. Leighton Media is more reflective of what we have to offer our local communities.”
Leighton Media operates 26 radio stations across Minnesota and North Dakota. That includes five in St. Cloud.
