(KNSI) – The Morrison County Sheriff’s office is looking for the culprits behind a series of smashed mailboxes.

Deputies were called to three townships near Randall after homeowners discovered their mailboxes had been damaged. So far, officials have found eight incidents. Damage has been discovered in Culdrum, Parker and Darling Townships.

Investigators say the incidents occurred sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. They ask anyone with outside surveillance cameras to review their footage and report anything unusual.

The sheriff’s office can be reached at 320-632-9233.

Tampering, stealing, or vandalizing a mailbox is a federal crime.
