(KNSI) – To be the G.O.A.T. in law enforcement in southeastern Minnesota, you have to beat the goat.

The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office released body cam footage from an 11:00 a.m. Sunday call showing Deputy Heiden chasing after a stray billy who was bolting from door to door in Rochester. The video shows Heiden calmly navigating an unexpected situation.

Once the call came over the radio, he had to make a stop at Leashes and Leads to procure a rope. Heiden then fashioned it into a lasso and on the first try delivered a perfect loop that caught around the animal’s front hooves and brought it to the ground softly and uninjured.

The goat on the lamb was taken to detention at local animal control. The baaaad boy was eventually picked up by his disappointed, but relieved, owner.

The incident goes to show that law enforcement personnel never know what the day will hold when they leave for work. The video is below.
