(KNSI) – The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and Minnesota Commerce Department is wrapping up a set of public hearings for a transmission line that will run through the region.
The Big Stone South-Alexandria-Big Oaks Transmission Project would carry electricity from South Dakota to a substation near the Sherco Plant. The line would use existing towers located along Interstate 94 locally.
The only St. Cloud area meeting was Thursday at the College of St. Benedict inside Gorecki Hall. There is still an opportunity to weigh in on the plans.
