(KNSI) — The Minnesota State Patrol says a 43-year-old Sauk Rapids man died in a crash on Interstate 94 near Albertville on Wednesday.
According to the accident report, a Chevy Traverse, a Toyota Highlander, and a Buick Enclave were all moving slowly in the left lane on I-94 near mile marker 202 when a 2017 Kia Optima driven by Benjamin Wittrock drove up behind them, and they all collided. Wittrock, who crash investigators say was not wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene. Details for what exactly led up to the accident were not given.
The driver of the Highlander, a 73-year-old woman from Minnetonka, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was seriously hurt.
