(KNSI) – You may have noticed a convoy meandering through St. Cloud on Monday to honor a titan in the tow truck industry.
Dozens of big rigs took Andrew “Andy” Hovanes Jr. on his final route on Monday. The 81-year-old passed away on November 19th and was laid to rest on Monday morning.
After the funeral, a procession took Hovanes for one last ride across the 12 miles of St. Cloud area roads he traveled daily.
Hovanes was a lifelong resident of Sauk Raids and is one of the founders of the Minnesota Professional Towing Association. He is also a member of the Towing Hall of Fame.
