(KNSI) – Stearns County is looking for financial help to bring a new program to the area to help keep kids safe.
The sheriff’s office has teamed up with the National Child Safety Council for an educational initiative to help teach children about crime prevention, identity theft and internet safety.
To cover the cost of these materials, the sheriff’s office is looking for donations from businesses, professionals, and area leaders to sponsor the program. Deputies will be out asking for support. Anyone who donates to the Safetypup Program will be recognized on the prestige page, activity manuals, and magazines.
The National Child Safety Council is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, meaning all contributions are tax deductible.
