(KNSI) – There will be traffic disruptions early next week on University Drive and the University Bridge.
The City of St. Cloud Engineer’s Office says the intermittent closures are due to planned sign maintenance and will affect motorists on Monday, November 27th, and Tuesday, November 28th. Traffic will be maintained during the work between 5th Avenue South and Kilian Boulevard Southeast.
Flag control will be necessary. The stretch begins as four lanes but narrows to two at the University Bridge, which stretches across the Mississippi River. It is the last bridge over the river for about 15 miles until you reach Clearwater, which makes it a busy crossing.
Possible detours include the Highway 23 bridge or Veterans Bridge that connects First and Second Street North with East St. Germain Street. Both are located in the downtown area.
