(KNSI) — Stearns County Highway Engineer Jodi Teich is being honored for outstanding leadership and commitment to improving the state’s transportation infrastructure.
Teich received the William Koniarski Transportation Advocate Award for being actively involved in the legislative process at the state and national levels and has served on numerous committees and boards.
She started as the county’s Highway Engineer in 2012 and is a current member of the Minnesota County Engineers Association and Minnesota Transportation Alliance. In the past, Teich has served as the National Association of County Engineers Minnesota State Director and garnered numerous other awards throughout her career, including Project Manager of the Year from the National Association of County Engineers, and Highway Safety Achievement and Outstanding County Engineer of the Year awards from the Minnesota County Engineers Association.
Bill Koniarski, whom the award honors, served as a Scott County Commissioner for many years and was always a leading advocate for transportation investments in Scott County and beyond.
