(KNSI) — No people were hurt, but two dogs and one cat died in a house fire Tuesday afternoon in St. Cloud.

The fire department says they were called around 1:45 for a potential fire inside a single family home on the 300 block of 32nd Avenue North. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the eaves and windows of the house. The back door had been forced open, and they say a neighbor ran in to save one of the dogs. Firefighters went in and searched the house, but no one was home. Fire damage was contained to the kitchen and attic area, but there was smoke damage throughout. The two people who live there are being helped by the Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
