(KNSI) – St. Cloud-based Coborn’s Inc. has raised over $100,000 to support the Folds of Honor Foundation.

The fundraising efforts took place throughout September at all Coborn’s, Cash Wise Foods, Marketplace Foods and Tadych’s Marketplace locations. Guests could round up their order total to the nearest dollar to be donated to Folds of Honor or make $1, $5, or $10 donations at checkout.

A check was presented to the Folds of Honor Foundation for $109,617.87. The Folds of Honor Foundation provides educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders.

“We are extremely grateful for the partnership with Coborn’s Inc and the community of patrons that supported our mission: Honor Their sacrifice. Educate Their Legacy,” said Folds of Honor – Minnesota Executive Director Matthew Bruns. “This donation will directly impact over 25 military and first responder families that live in the growing Coborn’s community. Coborn’s support signifies their unwavering commitment in honoring and supporting those who have served our nation and sacrificed for our liberty and freedoms.”

Folds of Honor Foundation was founded by Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, a decorated F-16 fighter pilot. From its inception in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded more than 51,000 scholarships totaling about $240 million.
