Section 8AAAA
ROCORI 30, Becker 21: The Spartans blank the Bulldogs 15-0 in the final quarter for the come-from-behind win. Will Steil ran it in twice and converted when they went for two to lead by nine with only 3:31 to go. Steil finished 7-17 for 82 yards through the air. He added 132 yards on 31 rushing attempts. ROCORI’s vaunted defense kept Becker in check. Bulldog quarterback Zachary Bengtson was only 6-17 for 140 yards. He had two touchdowns but also registered three interceptions.
Section 5AAA
Annandale 14, Foley 8: The Falcons controlled the tempo but could not put any points on the board. Annandale finally got going late in the third quarter thanks to explosive plays from quarterback Nick Walter. He completed a 40-yard pass to Brandon Cooper to break the ice. The next drive featured a 40-yard strike to Brandon Valdez, followed by a 15-yard draw from Walter to paydirt. Foley didn’t panic. They pulled within one score with about two minutes left after converting on 4th-and-17. Later on in the drive, Gavin Gross found Bryce Gapinski from 20 yards out. The two-point conversion went to receiver Josiah Peterson.

Albany 24, New London-Spicer 23: The Huskies trailed 23-0 in the third quarter but were able to complete the miracle comeback. Albany scored and punched in a two-point conversion with only a couple of seconds left in regulation for the thrilling win. Senior tight end Hunter Hamann had two touchdown receptions, but it was receiver Jack Rieland who brought in the go-ahead conversion.
Section 5AA
Eden Valley-Watkins 44, Holdingford 14: The Eagles are simply incredible as they cruised against a solid Husker team at St. John’s University. EV-W improves to 10-0. Holdingford ends the year at 7-4. In the game, Holdingford quarterback Drew Lange threw for 139 yards and ran for another 38, leading his team in both categories. He had two touchdowns and two interceptions.
