(KNSI) — Sartell police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver accused of hitting a pedestrian Monday night and driving away.
It happened around 8:15 at the intersection of Pine Cone Road and 7th Street North. The car is believed to be an older Toyota passenger car that is grey or silver with a louder exhaust. It left the scene heading north on Pine Cone.
Investigators say there should be front end damage includng a broken headlight, passenger side mirror, and possibly a shattered side window.
The victim was taken to CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries, but they are reported to be not life-threatening. Still, under Minnesota law, leaving the scene of a crash is a crime.
