(KNSI) – Early Give to the Max Day donations are being taken between now and November 16th.

The 15th annual event got underway just after midnight. Piggybacking on the anniversary date, people are asked to donate using the number fifteen in some way, whether they give to 15 organizations or choose to hand over $15 to their favorite group.

GiveMN started offering early donations several years ago because many folks get excited about Give to the Max Day, and early giving offers donors a chance to be flexible with their donations. Early giving means local organizations can build their banks toward Give to the Max Day bonus prizes. All early donations can be boosted through golden ticket bonuses and power hour matches on November 16th. Those bonuses come from the Bush Foundation, which awards more than $100,000 in incentives.

In 2022, the fundraiser brought in more than $34 million.
