(KNSI) – The Minnesota State Lottery is changing up its Millionaire Raffle as tickets go on sale Tuesday.
Sold only in Minnesota, the game features all cash prizes. Two tickets are worth $1 million each (before taxes, of course), but there are thousands of other prizes to be won. Two $50,000 winners and 150 $200 winners have been added. There will be 100,000 tickets added for a total of 800,000 available, but overall odds are better. This time around, the chances of winning are one in 51.03, up from one in 56.81 in 2023.
Here’s how it works. Starting October 24th, tickets can be bought by those 18 and over for $10 each. The raffle numbers will be drawn on New Year’s Day and posted online here.
That’s it.
Last year, 43,000 tickets were sold on the first day and sold out in just over three weeks.
Central Minnesota has been on the lucky side for the last few years. In January, there was a $25,000 winning ticket for the game sold at Casey’s in St. Cloud. In 2022, a $25,000 winner was sold at a Speedway in Sauk Rapids. In 2021, a ticket worth $100,000 was sold at a Kwik Trip in Sartell, but it was never claimed.
