(KNSI) — The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be chugging through central Minnesota in December.
The train snakes its way across the country to support food banks and shelves, raising money, food and awareness for food insecurity issues.
Decorated with hundreds of thousands of LED lights, the train pulls into each town with professional musicians and Santa Claus on board to play a free concert right from a car that turns into a stage. The group also presents a check for the local food shelf at each stop and encourages attendees to do the same.
On December 13th, the rolling party will pull into Annandale around 7:15 p.m. and get going on the west side of downtown park at the Harris Street West crossing about 7:30. From there, it heads to Eden Valley at the State Street railway crossing at State Highway 422. It’s expected to stop at 8:55, and the music will start at 9:00.
The singers on board are award-winning, multi-platinum-selling Dallas Smith and the chart-topping singer/actress MacKenzie Porter. She is featured on Dustin Lynch’s number one hit “Thinking ‘Bout You.”
