(KNSI) – The Sauk Rapids-Rice School District will interview four people who raised their hands to fill a vacant seat on the school board.
The board members will interview Samantha Dwyer, Gary Foss, Melissa Rowe and Krista Theisen on Wednesday, October 25th. Applicants were asked to submit a paper about their reasons for wanting to become a member of the board. The remaining six school board members reviewed the essays and picked the top choices for the finalizes.
The candidates hope to fill the term of Jan Solarz, who retired last week. Her term is up at the end of December 2024. Solarz spent 27 years serving the district.
