St. Cloud VA Medical Center and Clinics Hosting Drug Take Back Days

(KNSI) – The St. Cloud VA Medical Center and three area clinics will host Medication Take Back Days soon.

The first event is in St. Cloud at the main entrance to Building One on October 28th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Max J. Beilke VA Clinic in Alexandria is next on November 6th, followed by Brainerd on the 7th, and Montevideo on the 8th. All three clinics will hold the events from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The take-back days are for the disposal of expired medication. The VA reminds people that several cities and county offices in the region have prescription drop boxes. In Stearns County, that includes Albany, Avon, Kimball, Melrose, Sartell, Sauk Centre, St. Joseph, and Waite Park, among others.

Another option if you cannot get to the VA events is the national take back day coordinated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration in the spring and fall.
