(KNSI) – The community is invited to honor a Sauk Rapids-Rice School Board member who’s served the district for 27 years.
Jan Solarz’s years of service will be commemorated during an open house after Tuesday’s school board meeting in Rice. School officials say, as a distinguished member of the board of education for District 47, Solarz’s unwavering dedication to the betterment of students, staff, and communities has been exceptional, leaving an indelible mark.
The celebration will take place immediately after the board meeting in the cafeteria from approximately 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to pay tribute to Solarz for her enduring commitment.
The board is taking applications to fill the remainder of Solarz’s term, which expires at the end of 2024. Anyone interested in serving must apply by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. To throw your name in the hat, click here.
