(KNSI) — The St. Cloud Area School District 742 Board of Education gave a glowing review of its top administrator.
Superintendent Dr. Laurie Putnam is in her second year of a three-year contract. She was evaluated at Wednesday night’s meeting. The school board’s primary goal for Dr. Putnam during her first year was to focus on the district’s strategic plan. According to the report, one of the standout accomplishments was the successful implementation of continuous improvement plans in all schools and departments. These plans serve as roadmaps to success, providing benchmarks for what success looks like and outlining the necessary steps to get there.
Other accomplishments include advocating to state leaders for local schools, working on school safety and securing entrances.
The review says she met the goals of ensuring a safe, positive and engaged culture. Putnam was also credited with developing other leaders within the district.
